We tend to focus on seasonal cleaning:  “spring cleaning”, “fall cleaning”, preparing for the winter months—but we all tend to forget about summer cleaning.  Well, summer is here!  It seems we all get so busy with our summertime activities and having fun that we tend to forget about the vital things in our buildings that keep them looking good.

Here are some tips for you during the summer months to keep your building and home in tip-top shape:

1.      Pay Attention to your Floors Summer is perfect for the outdoors, it is also a time when the outdoors find can find its way inside your facility. Especially after the winter we have had, the salt, sand, and debris come right into the building. Don’t forget about all the rainy days we have had that can lead to mud tracks on floors and carpets.  This is an excellent time of year to really “kleen” up your lobby floors, restrooms, etc. Routine maintenance is a good first line of defense, but deep restorative cleaning is always required, and summertime is a great time to get this done!

 2.      “Kleen” Windows If you would rather be outside than in your office on a bright sunny day, the next best thing is a “kleen” and spotless window to look through. If you need help with windows that are no more than four stories high, we can contribute to bringing the shine back into your office.

 3.      Carpets/Upholstery After this incredibly long winter everyone has been stuck inside sitting on conference room chairs, office chairs, walking back and forth on the carpets trying to get their steps in on his or her Fitbits. All of that sitting and walking about builds up dirt and debris, and it becomes an eyesore.  It is time for a good “kleening”.

 4.      Germs/Allergies You have enough to worry about with the overall appearance of your work environment. Did you know that germs and allergens spread all year round? With all the activity in and out of buildings, it can be a breeding ground.   Fact – a typical desk harbors around 10 million bacteria, while one elevator button can contain millions of germs alone.
