Parking garages & lots are easy to overlook and certainly can take a back seat during budget season. Garages & lots are the first thing clients and staff see, and, as you know those first impressions are lasting ones.

What type of cleaning will you need?  It all depends on the last time you had your lots/garages cleaned and what was done in the past.

Below are three (3) services to consider having done, along with our recommendations this fall season:

1.    Remove Standing Debris Using a Blower. One of the most efficient and effective ways to remove debris is to use a high powered machine or blower. It is important to prep your garage/lots by using a blower first prior to anything else, especially around corners and edges.

2.    Power Sweep. In conjunction with using a high powered blower, power sweeping is a preferred method for your surfaces before a power scrub or pressure wash takes place. If you have a large parking garage or lot we recommend using a power sweeper along with a blower since the power sweeper is good at collecting fine particles that blowers can miss. Also, power sweepers provide greater production value within large parking garages and lots versus using a blower.

3.    Power Scrubbing and Pressure Washing. The final cleaning step involves power scrubbing and pressure washing to remove dirt, oil, grease and grime that build up on your surfaces. By using the right approach with a trained technician your parking garage surfaces will not only have less harmful dirt and debris, they will also have a lower risk of staining, cracking, and potholes forming.

We recommend seeking the advice from a trained parking garage cleaning technician to inform you which cleaning would be best – a power scrub, pressure wash, or both. We don’t recommend power scrubbing or pressure washing parking lots since Mother Nature will pretty much take care of this for you.

Anything we neglect or put off will become costly it become harder to clean. Overtime the lack of cleaning will take its toll on the appearance and can lead toward the formation of cracks and potholes, which leads to potential liabilities and hazards.

Don’t neglect your parking garage and parking lots this fall budget season. Schedule a walk-through with a trained technician and receive your free quote to provide an excellent impression with clients or potential clients before they step foot in your facility.
